ReFuel Pgh Project Coordinator
Program Description:
ReFuel Pgh is a social venture run by GTECH Strategies designed to collect wasted cooking oil to create a locally procured biofuel feedstock and mitigate the environmental problems associated with improper disposal of the hundreds of thousands of oil utilized by restaurants, churches and public events in the Pittsburgh region.
Position Responsibilities:
The ReFuel Pgh Project Coordinator will provide interim project oversight with existing and new program activities primarily concentrating on new business development, marketing, and operational oversight. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive and Chief Officer general responsibilities are as follows:
- Project administration & coordination
- Event planning and production
- Direct and in-direct marketing including ad-words, outreach, and social media
- Operational oversight (collection scheduling, customer service, inventory management)
- Intern management
- Represent ReFuel Pgh and GTECH Strategies at tabling and outreach events
- Increase public participation through promotion, outreach, and education
- Contribute to the planning and development of the ReFuel Pgh program
Applicants should have:
- Excellent verbal and written skill
- Microsoft Office and Google Apps proficiency
- Primary interest in alternative energy/alternative fuels
- Experience with small business, social venture, and/or revenue generation
- Background in program management and grant reporting
- Willingness to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment
- Bachelors Degree
- Experience working with a team

Field Operations Intern
This seasonal internship will work with GTECH's Reclamation and ReFuel teams assisting with project implementation and equipment management. Focusing primarily on GTECH's Vacant Land Reclamation projects, the Field Operations Intern will assist staff with preparing sites, project installation and occasional maintenance.
While this position is unpaid it will provide excellent hands on exposure to a candidate interested issues ranging from sustainable community development, to horticulture and landscaping, to social enterprise. Candidates should have experience and enjoy working outdoors and with volunteers. Training in horticulture, landscaping, or construction is preferred.
Time Frame: May 15, 2012 - August 12, 2012.
