McKeesport to get overhaul via 9 beautification projects

Tribune Review | April 22, 2015

The vacant lot that Rhonda Moorer lays behind to her church, Bethlehem Baptist, where her mother, the Rev. Earlene Coleman, is pastor.

She will be turning a vacant lot into a youth-centric community space. Her site will boast checkerboards, picnic tables and a gazebo on a lot where the Hitzrot House once stood, a mansion that later became the Eagles Lodge.

“My vision is that it [my project] will add to the once thriving corridor of McKeesport.”

— Rhonda Moorer, ReClaim McKeesport Ambassador
